Wild Horseradish

Wild Horseradish is a spring forage item found while exploring the Valley in Spring. It can also appear in Garbage Cans during Spring, and it may be grown from Spring Seeds. As a forageable crop item, it is one of the seasonal ingredients tied closely to early-game gathering and seed production.

A Wild Horseradish can be placed in a Seed Maker to produce 1–3 Spring Seeds directly, making it a useful way to turn surplus forage into more spring forage opportunities. It is also part of the Wild Seeds (Sp) crafting recipe, which produces 10 Spring Seeds per craft and is learned at Foraging Level 1. This makes Wild Horseradish valuable both as a collected item and as a component in expanding spring planting.

It also has several uses outside of foraging and seed production:

• In the Sewing Machine, Wild Horseradish combined with Cloth creates a clothing item.
• It functions as a brown dye ingredient when used with a dyeable clothing item.
• It can be placed in the orange dye pot at Emily and Haley's house for dyeing.
• During Spring, it may be randomly requested on the Help Wanted board outside Stone's General Store, rewarding gold and 150 Friendship points.

A notable quirk is that Wild Horseradish is the only spring forageable that can be directly placed into the Seed Maker. This makes it stand out among early seasonal forage items, since it can be recycled into more seeds without needing to be processed through another crafting step first.
