Sebastian is a villager who lives in the Mountains north of Pelican Town, in the basement of Robin’s carpenter shop. He is one of the twelve marriage candidates, and his routine and dialogue reflect his habit of spending most of the day indoors at his computer, with regular trips out to smoke, visit town, or meet up with friends.
Sebastian lives with his mother Robin, his stepfather Demetrius, and his half-sister Maru. Robin sometimes calls him Sebby. He is close friends with Sam, and the two are often seen together at Sam’s house or at the Stardrop Saloon playing pool. Abigail also hangs out with them at festivals, and if neither Abigail nor Sebastian is dancing with the player at the Flower Dance, Sebastian will dance with Abigail instead. He also resents the way Maru is treated better than he is, and his dialogue shows open tension with Demetrius.
Sebastian’s daily schedule is strongly dependent on weather, season, friendship, and special events. On normal days he usually stays in his room until late morning, goes to his computer, and later leaves home to smoke by the lake near his house. On Fridays he goes to the Saloon to play pool with Sam, and on Saturdays he spends the day with Sam around town and at Sam’s house. When it rains, he may go to the beach or the Saloon instead. On Thursdays, once the Railroad is accessible, he may smoke near the train station. He also has special routines for festival days, the Desert Festival, the clinic checkup on Summer 4, and the Ginger Island Beach Resort after it is unlocked.
As a spouse, Sebastian moves into the farmhouse and adds his own room to the right of the bedroom. He also sets up a small area behind the farmhouse for his motorcycle and sometimes works on it there. On some mornings he may give the player Coffee, and on rainy days he may give a cave-themed gift such as Obsidian, Void Essence, Bat Wing, Frozen Tear, Amethyst, or Cave Carrot. On Winter 28, he gives Beer to celebrate the new year despite hating it as a gift.
Sebastian can also request items from the Help Wanted board outside Pierre’s General Store. Fulfilling one of these requests rewards 3 times the item’s base value and 150 friendship points.
