Overview
The Void Egg is an animal product obtained from a Void Chicken. It is a special egg with several sources of acquisition and a few unusual uses compared to ordinary eggs.

A Void Egg can be incubated in a Big Coop or Deluxe Coop incubator to hatch a Void Chicken. This makes it the starting point for building a self-sustaining source of Void Eggs and related products. In addition, Void Eggs can be used in place of chicken or duck eggs in cooked dishes, so they function as a valid substitute in recipes that accept those eggs.
Void Eggs also have several practical utility uses outside cooking:
- They can be used in the
Sewing Machine to create a Shirt.
- They can be used as black dye in the Sewing Machine when combined with a dyeable clothing item.
- One Void Egg may be requested by
Void Salmon in a
Fish Pond quest to increase the pond’s capacity from 5 to 7.
Gus’ “Famous Omelet” special order may require 24 Eggs of any type, including Void Eggs.
- The Raccoon may request five Eggs of any type, excluding Dinosaur Eggs, as part of its third request and any request beginning with the sixth.
Void Eggs also count toward bundle and collection-style requirements that accept eggs in general. Ten Eggs of any type, excluding Dinosaur Eggs, are needed for the relevant bundle requirement. Because Void Eggs are treated as a general egg for many game systems, they are often best saved if the player expects to need eggs for quests, tailoring, or cooking rather than sold immediately.
