Dandelion

The Dandelion is a spring forage item found naturally in the wild during Spring, and it can also be grown from Spring Seeds. It is classified by the game as Forage rather than Flower, despite its flower-like description and real-world appearance. Dandelions can also appear in garbage cans during Spring, and up to ten may be purchased from Stone at the Flower Dance. In addition, up to five can be bought from Caroline’s shop at the Desert Festival for Calico Eggs.

Dandelions are useful early in the season because they are easy to obtain and can be used in several systems. They may be requested randomly on the Help Wanted board outside Stone’s General Store during Spring, rewarding gold and 150 Friendship points when delivered. They are also used in tailoring and dyeing: placing a Dandelion in the Sewing Machine with Cloth produces a clothing item, while using it as a dye item makes it yellow dye in the Sewing Machine. It can also be placed in the yellow dye pot at Emily and Haley’s house, 2 Willow Lane, for dyeing purposes.
