Blackberry

An early-fall treat.
Overview
Blackberry is a fruit that can be found through foraging across Stardew Valley. It appears on the ground during Fall and, during Blackberry Season from Fall 8 to 11, it grows on blackberry bushes. It can also be produced by Wild Seeds (Fa), found in the Farm Cave if the fruit bat option was chosen, or randomly discovered in garbage cans during Fall.
Blackberry bushes are the main source of the item during the seasonal event, and the number of berries harvested from each bush increases with Foraging skill. At Foraging level 4, each bush yields 2 berries instead of 1; at level 8, it yields 3; and if Foraging is temporarily boosted to 12 or higher with a Foraging buff from food, each bush yields 4. Bushes also have a 20% chance to spawn blackberries on the overnight update, plus a small random bonus chance.
Blackberries collected from bushes behave differently from other foraged blackberries in several ways:
- Each blackberry collected this way grants 1 Foraging XP, and the XP stacks if multiple berries drop from one bush.
- Unless the Botanist profession is chosen, bush blackberries are always normal quality, regardless of Foraging level.
- If the Botanist profession is chosen, they are always iridium quality, as with all foraged items.
- Bush blackberries receive the +10% Tiller profession selling bonus. If bush blackberries are stacked with ordinary foraged blackberries, the entire stack gets the Tiller bonus.
- The Tiller bonus stacks with
Bear's Knowledge, allowing a maximum sale bonus of ×3.3.
Blackberry has several uses beyond selling or eating. It is used in a bundle, and 50 Blackberries are an option for another bundle. It is also used in the spool of the
