Obsidian

Obsidian is a mineral found in the Magma Geode and the Omni Geode. It can also be received as an occasional gift from Sebastian if the player is married to him. As a mineral, it is one of the geode-based resources that can be obtained while mining and cracking open geodes.

Its main documented use is in tailoring: placing Obsidian in the spool of the Sewing Machine creates the Studded Vest. Aside from that, the available sources identify it primarily as a collectible mineral rather than a material with many direct crafting applications.

Because it comes from two different geode types, Obsidian is most often obtained by processing geodes rather than by direct gathering. The Omni Geode is especially useful for finding a wide range of minerals, while the Magma Geode is tied to deeper mining progress. If Sebastian is the player’s spouse, his occasional gift can also provide a convenient extra source.
