The Official Cap is a hat that can be purchased from the Abandoned House after earning the Ol' Mariner Achievement, which requires catching 24 different fish. It is also available through Emily's outfit services at the Desert Festival, where there is a small chance of receiving the gender-neutral outfit that includes the cap.

The cap is part of a specific outfit combination and can appear with the Officer Uniform and Farmer Pants, dyed to RGB value 53, 52, 91. Like other hats, it is a cosmetic item and does not affect gameplay stats directly.

It may be a reference to Harris, a recurring character from Harvest Moon. In Harvest Moon 64, Harris serves as the town's mailman, while in Harvest Moon: Back to Nature and Friends of Mineral Town he is the town's policeman.
