Pumpkin Soup

Pumpkin Soup is a cooked dish. It can be prepared in the kitchen of an upgraded farmhouse or with a Cookout Kit. Despite being a cooked food item, it has no use in bundles and is not used in any cooking recipes.

It is a fairly valuable dish, with a sell price of 300g, and it restores a large amount of energy thanks to its 80 edibility. Like many cooked items, it can also be obtained without cooking. One Pumpkin Soup can be purchased each year from the Traveling Merchant during the Festival of Ice, and it may also appear at random in Krobus' shop on Saturdays, in the Stardrop Saloon's rotating stock, or in the garbage can outside the saloon. In the Skull Cavern, treasure rooms may contain 5 Pumpkin Soup, and the Desert Festival's Calico Egg Merchant sometimes sells one for Calico Eggs. It can also be obtained from a Mystery Box.

Beyond eating or selling, Pumpkin Soup has a small but useful role in crafting and customization. It is used in the spool of the Sewing Machine to create a Shirt, and it can be placed in the dye pots at Emily and Haley's house to produce an orange dye.

• Purchased or found copies can be useful if you want a quick energy source without spending ingredients.
• Because it is a cooked dish with a high sell price, extra copies are worth considering for sale if you do not need them for tailoring.
• Its dyeing use makes it one of the food items that can serve a cosmetic purpose as well as a gameplay one.
