Yam

Yam is a vegetable crop that grows from Yam Seeds after 10 days. It can also be obtained as a drop from Duggies, with a 3% chance of dropping one.

Yam grows through four stages before it is ready to harvest, taking 1 day for the first stage and 3 days each for the next three stages, for a total growth time of 10 days. Like other crops, it can be harvested once mature and then sold, gifted, or used in crafting and quests.

Yam has several uses beyond simple sale value:

• It is used in the Community Center bundles.
• Five gold-quality Yams may be one of the options for one of the bundles.
• It can be used in the Sewing Machine to create the dyeable Button Down Shirt.
• It can also be used as an orange dye item at the dye pots in Emily and Haley's house at 2 Willow Lane.
• In Fall, it may be randomly requested on the Help Wanted board outside Stone's General Store for a reward of gold and 150 Friendship points.
