Summer Spangle

Summer Spangle is a flower crop that grows from Spangle Seeds in 8 days. It is one of the summer flowers used for dyeing and tailoring, and it can also be placed near a Bee House to influence honey production.

When grown within range of a Bee House, Summer Spangle causes Summer Spangle Honey to be produced instead of normal honey. The flower must be within 5 squares in any cardinal direction of the Bee House for this effect to apply. Like other flowers that affect honey, this makes it a useful crop to plant around bee farm layouts during summer.

Summer Spangle also has several practical uses outside of shipping:

• It can be used in the spool of the Sewing Machine to create the dyeable Pleated Skirt.
• It serves as a yellow dye item at the dye pots in Emily and Haley's house.
• It is not used in any recipes.
• It is not used in any quests.

A notable feature of Summer Spangle is that it comes in six color variants, each with an equal chance of appearing. Different colors stack separately in inventories and chests, and quality levels are tracked separately as well, so a collection of mixed colors and qualities can occupy many slots. In total, six colors combined with four quality levels can use up to 24 inventory spaces.

Summer Spangle is also one of the crops accepted for a Community Center bundle, making it worth saving at least one copy if that content is still being completed.
