Pineapple

Pineapple is a fruit crop that grows from Pineapple Seeds and takes 14 days to reach maturity. After it is fully grown, it regrows every 7 days, making it a repeat-harvest crop once established. Its growth cycle is split into five stages before harvest: 1 day, 3 days, 3 days, 4 days, and 3 days.

Because Pineapple continues producing after the first harvest, it is most useful when planted in a long-term growing area rather than as a one-time crop. The regrowth timer means that a mature plant can keep supplying fruit without needing to be replanted, so it rewards keeping plots reserved for ongoing production. On the other hand, the initial wait is relatively long, so it is less suited to short-term planting compared with faster crops.

Pineapple also has a few notable uses outside of selling or eating it directly:

• Lionfish may request one Pineapple in a Fish Pond quest, which increases the pond’s capacity from 3 to 5.
• Caroline may request 100 Pineapples for the "Island Ingredients" Special Order. The reward is gold equal to 50% of the crop’s base price, along with the Solar Panel recipe.
• Pineapple can be used in the Sewing Machine to create the dyeable Farmer Pants.
• It can also be used as a yellow dye at the dye pots in Emily’s and Haley’s house at 2 Willow Lane.

Since Pineapple is both a regrowing crop and a dye ingredient, it has more utility than a simple sellable fruit. Players who want to stockpile it for quests, tailoring, or orders may find it worthwhile to keep a dedicated patch growing on a regular cycle.
