Charcoal Kiln

The Charcoal Kiln is a piece of equipment used to burn Wood into Coal. Coal is used in many crafting recipes and for smelting different metals into their respective bars.

It converts Wood into Coal at a rate of 10 Wood to 1 Coal, taking about 23 seconds of real time per conversion. Because Coal is a common bottleneck in early and mid-game crafting, a Charcoal Kiln provides a simple way to turn surplus Wood into a useful resource without relying on monsters, rocks, or buying it outright.

The Charcoal Kiln can also be obtained as a reward for completing a bundle, making it available even if the player has not crafted one yet.
