Official description

A thick and sturdy leg bone.

Overview

The Prehistoric Tibia is an Artifact that can be found by digging up an Artifact Spot at the Railroad or in Cindersap Forest, by breaking Bone Nodes on the Ginger Island Dig Site, by defeating a Pepper Rex, or as a gift from a max-friendship pet dog. Like other artifacts, donating it to the Museum counts toward the total donation count.

It has a small number of practical uses beyond donation. The Prehistoric Tibia can be processed in the Bone Mill to produce one of several fertilizer items: Quality Fertilizer, Speed-Gro, Deluxe Speed-Gro, or Tree Fertilizer. It is not used in any bundles. It is also used in the Sewing Machine spool, but the source text does not specify the resulting clothing item.

Donating the Prehistoric Tibia to the Museum helps with collection progress, and donating it together with the Skeletal Tail rewards the player with the Sloth Skeleton R statue. Because both the Tibia and other bone artifacts are part of the same museum set, it is often worth saving at least one copy before deciding whether to sell or recycle the item.

The item is also relevant to the Special Order "Fragments of the past," in which Gunther may request 100 of any combination of bone items gathered while the quest is active. The quest must be completed within 7 days, and the reward includes the Bone Mill recipe. Since the Prehistoric Tibia qualifies as a bone item, it can contribute toward this order if collected during the quest period.
