Overview

Office Stool is a small, movable stool item originally taken from an office area. It appears as a simple seat in three color variants and is encountered as environmental furniture across multiple maps and levels. The item is described in localization files simply as a stool from an office/Office Sector area.

Office Stool spawns repeatedly in kitchens, cafeterias, lounges and other communal areas across the game's maps. Notable spawn points include:

  • Plaza: appears across all three Plaza levels — Plaza level, the Plaza balcony on Level 2, and in the kitchen on Level 3.
  • Flathill: outside the library on the bridge area and near the "Sweet Freeze" ice cream shop.
  • Manufacturing West: in the kitchen near the Supply Room.
  • Cascade Laboratories: on Level 2 in the Lobby kitchen; on Level 3 close to Round Tables and Cafeteria Trays near the Adjustment entrance; and inside Adjustment in an upstairs room near the zipline.
  • Reactors: in the Dusk Reactor cafeteria; in the Gale Reactor upstairs lounge where Gatekeepers fight the Order; and in a curved corridor near Vending Machines in the Gale Reactor area.
  • Residence Sector: adjacent to two Slushie machines and the "Sushi" sign, within the "Zaibat Sushi" area, and inside each room of the main building.
  • Additional map galleries show three color variants of the Office Stool.

Practical notes and interactions:

  • Office Stool functions as environmental décor and cover; it is typically found near food service areas and transit points (kitchens, cafeterias, lounges, vending and zipline access), so expect them where players congregate or move between objectives.
  • The three color variants are purely visual and do not indicate different stats or behaviors in sources.
  • Because stools are small and low, they can provide partial visual obstruction at knee-height but do not block movement; they are useful for subtle line-of-sight disruption rather than full cover.
  • Spawn consistency by map area allows predictable placement: check kitchens, balcony lounges, and corridor junctions first when searching a room or clearing an objective.
  • Localization descriptions from multiple languages uniformly identify the item as originating from an office/Office Sector area, confirming the item’s thematic origin and typical placement in communal workplace spaces.
