Sigil of the Hearth
A symbol worn by the most fanatical members of The Order, keepers of the oldest traditions.
Overview
The Sigil of the Hearth is an equippable item worn as a symbol by the most fanatical members of The Order, guardians of the oldest traditions. It appears in loot tables for ornate and inquisitor-themed crates and functions as a small but reliable utility relic for players who frequently face Order enemies or who want to convert drops into other useful gear.
When equipped, the Sigil modifies two aspects of play. First, it increases the quantity of ammo dropped by all Order enemies; whenever an Order enemy drops ammo while the Sigil is worn, that drop is the maximum possible amount for that enemy. Second, it grants a flat 10% movement speed increase while in combat, improving mobility in firefights and aiding kiting or closing distances against aggressive foes.
The item is obtainable only from Ornate Crates or Inquisitor Crates. It is also tradable: Marion will accept the Sigil of the Hearth in exchange for a
Practical usage and interactions:
- Farming and sustainability: Equip the Sigil when repeatedly fighting Order enemies to reliably maximize ammo returns from each drop, reducing reliance on vendors or rare supply caches.
- Combat mobility: The 10% combat movement speed bonus improves survivability in close fights and helps ranged builds maintain distance; it combines well with weapons or abilities that benefit from repositioning.
- Trade strategy: If you need a Gravity Dampener, the Sigil serves as a direct trade option with Marion; consider whether the Dampener’s utility outweighs the ongoing passive benefits of the Sigil before trading it away.
- Build synergy: Pair the Sigil with ammo-heavy loadouts or high-shot-rate weapons to make the most of increased ammo yields; also valuable for builds that expend consumables quickly.
- Encounter planning: Use the Sigil specifically for missions or zones with a high density of Order enemies; its ammo effect is limited to that faction and does not alter drops from non-Order foes.
- Inventory management: Because the Sigil guarantees the maximum ammo amount only when ammo is dropped, it does not change drop frequency—expect the same chance to receive ammo, but larger stacks when you do.
- Complementary items: Combine the Sigil with other items that affect drop rates or pickup radius to both increase the amount received and make collecting slightly easier in chaotic fights.
The Sigil of the Hearth is best treated as a situational utility item: strong for sustained engagements against The Order and useful as a barter item for acquiring specific high-value gear. Choose to keep or trade it according to whether reliable ammo income or the traded reward better serves your current progression.
