Overview

Throwing Crystal is a throwable weapon that can be acquired through the Quantum Exchanger in Adjustment, at level 2 of the Cascade Laboratories, in the hallway covered in dead soldiers near the Laser Emitter. It is exchanged for an Anteverse Gem, and it can also be obtained by destroying CRT Monitors found throughout the world.

As a weapon, it behaves like a normal thrown item but has its own melee use. Its primary attack is a basic stab that consumes one projectile per attack, while its secondary action prepares the crystal to be thrown. It can also be used to harvest remains, making it useful even when ammunition is limited or when a player wants a compact weapon that doubles as a utility tool.

CRT Monitors are a second source of Throwing Crystal and appear in many locations, so breaking them is a reliable way to stock up without spending Anteverse Gems. Notable monitor locations include:

  • Cascade Laboratories: level 2 in the Particle Lab, level 2 in a room upstairs from the lobby near the toilets, and the Control Center
  • Hydroplant: Electrical Station
  • Reactors: multiple spots in the Mist, Dusk, and Gale Reactor areas, including rooms with cabinets and desks, a laboratory on the second level where Dr. Suan Tengku is found, a cement-walled route toward the Reactor, and a split lower area near a Mystagogue
  • Fragments: the Botanical Wing
  • Rise: throughout the first floor

Because the primary attack spends a projectile every time, Throwing Crystal is best used with care if you are relying on a limited stock. The secondary action should be used when you want to commit to a throw rather than a quick stab. Since it can harvest remains, it has a practical niche beyond direct combat, especially during exploration runs where inventory space and tool flexibility matter.

In practice, the item is most valuable when you want a hybrid weapon that can be obtained passively from world objects. If you explore areas with CRT Monitors regularly, you can keep a steady supply of Throwing Crystal without depending entirely on the Anteverse Gem exchange.
