Field Shelter

The Field Shelter is a portable shelter structure used for establishing temporary outposts while exploring planets. It behaves much like a normal Shelter, but it is designed to be moved and repacked after placement, making it useful for players who want a base they can relocate instead of committing to a permanent installation.

A Field Shelter can also be obtained rarely during the EXO Automated Mass Production Protocol event, provided there is no canister on top of the rocket. Unlike a normal Shelter, it does not permanently flatten and replace the surrounding terrain with black dense rock when deployed, which helps it blend into more natural-looking bases.

• It has 2 cable plugs and a single small slot on the back of its roof.
• It provides both oxygen and power through an irremovable Portable Oxygenator and two RTG pistons mounted on either side.
• Its power output is half that of a normal Shelter: 0.5 Units/s.
• Because it can be packed up after use, it is especially convenient for short-term bases and expedition camps.
• Its mobility is its main advantage; the reduced power supply is the primary drawback compared with a regular Shelter.
