XL Wind Turbine

The XL Wind Turbine is a deployable power source used to generate electricity from wind. It must be placed on the ground before it can produce power, and while deployed it does not need to be connected to a platform. When undeployed, it can be stored in a Tier 4 slot. Once active, it provides 17 U/s of power and has 3 cable slots, which evenly distribute its output.

Like the other wind turbines, its reliability depends on the local wind conditions of the planet it is used on. It is most valuable in areas where wind is frequent, since its output is only available while windy. On average, its effective power rate varies significantly by planet, with stronger performance on worlds such as Novus and Vesania and weaker performance on Desolo and Atrox.

XL Wind Turbines can be found rarely in certain wrecks on Glacio and Vesania. They are used primarily to support base power networks and mobile setups where a high-output wind source is useful without taking up a platform slot.
