Overview
Drill Strength 3 is a vehicle-mounted drilling attachment used to excavate soil quickly and efficiently. It is fitted to the front of a Rover, where it can be powered to carve tunnels and open passages through terrain much faster than by hand. As with other drill attachments, its usefulness depends heavily on the vehicle it is mounted to, since the size of the hole it creates changes with each vehicle and can produce larger or smaller tunnels accordingly.
The drill is toggled with the context keys while seated in the vehicle. On a standard Rover, the drill turns on or off depending on which side of the rover it is attached to. On the

While operating, Drill Strength 3 consumes 1 U/s of power. This makes it an efficient option for sustained excavation, especially when paired with a vehicle that can support continuous movement through soil. Mounted on a
A few practical points make the drill easier and safer to use:
- It is one of the fastest ways to tunnel through soil when mounted on the front of a vehicle.
- On larger vehicles, multiple drill or paver attachments can be triggered together from the same side.
- The vehicle’s camera angle directly controls the direction of the cut, which is useful for sloping tunnels.
- Because it digs so quickly, it is best to turn it off when falling into an open cavern, or it may continue carving deeper into the ground than intended.
Drill Strength 3 is part of the progression of vehicle drilling tools and is most valuable when the player needs rapid large-scale terrain removal rather than careful manual shaping.
