Medium Fluid & Soil Canister

The Medium Fluid & Soil Canister is a portable storage item used to hold Soil for excavation and terrain processing. It stores the same amount of Soil as 24 Small Canisters, making it a compact way to carry a large reserve of terrain material while traveling or building away from a base.

Its main use is as a buffer between digging, storage, and crafting. Soil can be deposited into or extracted from the canister by changing its mode, which lets it work both as a collector and as a supply container. When paired with the Soil Centrifuge and a Small Canister, it can be used to transfer Soil from the Medium Fluid & Soil Canister into the machine efficiently, enabling large-scale resource production for expanding bases on other planets. A full canister can be converted into 96 Compound, 96 Resin, 96 Organic, 72 Clay, 48 Quartz, 24 Graphite, or 12 Ammonium.

The item is especially useful for long expeditions. When attached to an explorer with a drill, it fills very quickly as terrain is excavated, letting players stockpile Soil while mining or tunneling without needing to return to base as often.
