Overview

Ammonium is a common natural resource found on all planets. It generates in deposits made up of short, irregular triangular clusters, and on Sylva it is especially common in forest biomes. As a raw material, it is collected and then used in crafting chains for later-game items.

Ammonium can also be produced and exchanged through other systems. A Centrifuge can produce 1 Ammonium from two full units of Soil. The Trade Platform can exchange 1 Ammonium for each Scrap, up to a maximum of 8 Ammonium per trade using 8 Scrap.

Because Ammonium appears on every planet, it is one of the more reliable resources to gather early on. Even when a deposit is small, the node shape makes it easy to spot once you know what to look for, and larger deposits can support a steady supply if you are using it repeatedly in crafting. When natural deposits are inconvenient, the Centrifuge provides a renewable Soil-to-Ammonium conversion, making it a useful fallback for players who want to avoid relying only on mining.
