Malachite

Malachite is a green copper ore resource used in crafting. It appears as a raw deposit in the world and can be mined with the Terrain Tool, usually yielding the resource in chunks until the deposit is exhausted. A full deposit produces up to 8 Malachite.

Malachite is found in mountainous terrain and underground. The listed locations include Gray Mountains and Mantle Layers, Cave Layers, and very deep underground or mountain-top regions on some planets. Compared to its earlier distribution, it is now much rarer and is no longer broadly available on most planets.

It is used as an ingredient in crafting recipes, most notably for copper-related progression. Because it is a non-renewable mined resource, players typically stockpile it when they find it and transport it back to a base for later processing.
