Overview
The Small Wind Turbine is a portable power-generating item in Astroneer that produces electricity when exposed to wind. It is designed for use in a player’s widget slot or in other suitable slots connected to a power network, making it a simple way to supplement power generation while exploring or working away from a base.
When operating in windy weather, a Small Wind Turbine charges a battery bar in 8 seconds. It is useful for keeping small devices running and for adding steady power without needing large infrastructure. On the ground, it automatically generates a small platform when placed.
Practical notes:
- It only generates power when there is wind.
- It is compact enough for exploration-focused setups where space is limited.
- It can be carried and used directly from the backpack widget slot.
- In Early Access, the Small Wind Turbine was previously named Wind Vane.
