Drill Strength 1

A drill head that attaches to rovers. Capable of drilling through hard terrain.
Draws 1U/s power while active.
Overview
Drill Strength 1 is a vehicle-mounted drilling attachment used to excavate soil quickly and create tunnels. It is fitted to the front of Rovers, where it can be powered on and off with the context keys, and it works especially well for cutting through terrain much faster than the Terrain Tool alone. On Rover-based vehicles, the drill’s behavior depends on where it is mounted and what vehicle it is attached to, making it a flexible early drilling option for underground travel and large-scale digging.
When attached to a Rover, Drill Strength 1 turns that vehicle into an efficient tunneling machine. On a

The size of the hole created by the drill changes with the vehicle it is mounted on, so the same attachment can be used for smaller or larger tunnels depending on the chassis. This makes Drill Strength 1 useful for everything from narrow passage excavation to broad mining runs. It can also be mounted on a
Because of its high digging speed, the drill should be turned off when falling into an open cavern. Leaving it active can cause the player to dig too deeply into the ground and lose control of the descent. In practice, Drill Strength 1 is best used with careful steering and camera control, especially near cave openings or unstable terrain.
- Mounted on the front of a Rover, it can tunnel through soil quickly.
- On a Tractor, any context key turns it on or off.
- On a Large Rover, a drill and Paver on the same side can be activated together.
- Camera angle controls the digging direction, including upward and downward tunneling.
- Mounting it on a Crane lets the player dig large holes from a seated position.
- It is recommended to disable it when dropping into open caverns to avoid over-digging.
