Large Resource Canister

The Large Resource Canister is a storage item used to hold and move large quantities of a single solid resource. It is designed for bulk resource management rather than active processing, and it cannot be used to store atmospheric resources. A single canister can hold up to 400 nuggets of one resource type, making it one of the most efficient ways to consolidate materials for transport or long-term storage.

The canister has two operating modes that change how it interacts with nearby storage. In Dispense mode, it deposits the resource it contains into any available storage. In Retain mode, it takes the resource from any available storage; if the canister is empty, it will take the first matching resource it finds in that storage and begin storing it. The player can switch between the two modes using the mode toggle control.

A few practical limitations are worth keeping in mind:

• The Large Resource Canister does not take from or deposit into Printers.
• It only handles one resource type at a time.
• It cannot be used for atmospheric resources, only solid nuggets.

Because of its capacity and automatic transfer behavior, the canister is especially useful for organizing production chains, clearing out medium and large storage, and moving resources between bases or vehicles without manual hauling. Its ability to pull from nearby storage also makes it convenient for feeding a supply system, while Dispense mode is useful when you want to unload a stockpile into available containers.
