Large Shredder

The Large Shredder is a late-game shredding machine used to convert unwanted objects into Scrap. It can shred most Tier-2 and smaller items, and it is also able to process debris found on any planet, making it useful for cleaning up wreckage and turning leftovers into a reusable resource.

It draws power while operating, and both the total energy used and the time required depend on the input power rate. Higher power input completes shredding faster, while lower input stretches the process out and changes the total energy cost.

• At 3.0 U/s, it consumes 75 U per Scrap and takes 25 s.
• At 2.0 U/s, it consumes 73 U per Scrap and takes 36.5 s.
• At 1.5 U/s, it consumes 63.25 U per Scrap and takes 42.2 s.
• At 1.0 U/s, it consumes 48 U per Scrap and takes 48 s.
• At 0.5 U/s, it consumes 27 U per Scrap and takes 54 s.
• At 0.25 U/s, it consumes 14 U per Scrap and takes 56 s.

One important exception is Dynamite: shredding it causes an explosion that destroys the Large Shredder. For that reason, Dynamite should never be fed into it, even accidentally.
