Overview

Rabbits are one of the first wild animals many players encounter. They are harmless if left alone, but they will fight back if attacked by a player or a Ratizen. In the grassland biome, rabbits spawn from Rabbit holes, with up to two appearing at the same time from a single hole.

A single Rabbit hole can support roughly four rabbits hunted per day, making it a steady early source of animal materials. Capturing rabbits requires either hunting them directly yourself or assigning a Ratizen to a Hunter's Hut, which sends them out to hunt at intervals.

Rabbits can be processed at a Butchery into several different resources:

Because rabbits provide both food and crafting materials, they are useful targets for early expansion. Their predictable spawning from Rabbit holes makes them easy to farm once a Hunter's Hut is available, while direct hunting remains an option before that point.
