Treasure Hunter

Treasure Hunter is a tackle that improves fishing by increasing the chance to find treasure chests by 5%. If the player is using an Advanced Iridium Rod with two Treasure Hunters equipped, the bonus rises to 10%. It is especially useful when fishing for rare loot, since it helps treasures appear more often while also preventing fish from escaping during the treasure-chest collection phase.

Treasure Hunter can be crafted once Fishing level 7 is reached, and it can also be bought from Willy's Fish Shop. It may additionally appear for sale at the Traveling Cart. Because it is a tackle item, it is consumed as part of fishing rod loadouts rather than being used directly in crafting or cooking.

A few practical notes make it more appealing for dedicated fishing runs:

• It is cheaper to buy a Treasure Hunter from the Fish Shop than to buy the Gold Ore and Coal needed to make 2 Gold Bars.
• It is not used in any bundles.
• It is not used in any quests.

Treasure Hunter is most valuable when the goal is to maximize treasure chest loot rather than to focus solely on catching fish. Since treasure chests can contain valuable items, increasing their appearance rate can make long fishing sessions more profitable, especially when paired with other tackle or rod setups that support extended fishing trips.
