About shapez 2
shapez 2 is a 3D factory-automation game by tobspr Games (Berlin), released into Early Access in 2024 as a successor to the 2D original shapez (2020). The player constructs ever-larger factories that extract, cut, paint, stack, and ship abstract geometric shapes to fulfil milestone deliveries. The game emphasises clean spatial planning over combat or resource scarcity: you have unlimited belts, unlimited ore patches, and no enemies — only the puzzle of routing shapes efficiently through space.
Compared to its predecessor, shapez 2 introduces fully 3D belts and platforms, scenario modes (Insane / Hard / Normal / Relaxed / Custom), Operator progression with Jobs and the Upgrade Shop, and inter-platform Trains and Space Transport that connect floating asteroid factories.
