Raw Carbuncle is a creature drop obtained by killing Carbuncles, Tainted Carbuncles, and Mushroom Carbuncles, then collecting it from their corpses. It is a basic raw material tied directly to Carbuncle-type enemies, so its availability depends on encountering those creatures in the world.

Because it is looted from defeated enemies rather than crafted or harvested, Raw Carbuncle is mainly a combat reward. The most direct way to acquire it is to hunt the Carbuncle variants that produce it and make sure to search the corpse afterward. As a drop item, it has no special preparation step beyond defeating the source creature and collecting the remains.
