The
- Default: always drops a
Circuit Board (100%) and has a 50% chance to drop Powdered Crystal.
- After entering Cascade Laboratories: retains the
Circuit Board (100%) and Powdered Crystal (50%), and gains a 50% chance to drop a
Capacitor.
- After opening Gate 2 in the Security Sector: keeps
Circuit Board (100%), Powdered Crystal (50%),
Capacitor (50%), and gains a 50% chance to drop an
Electrical Organ.
Tactical notes and interactions:
- The event location is signalled by a facility announcement; respond quickly to cut down the small leeches and reveal the giant before its bursts cause sustained equipment or player damage.
- Focus fire on clusters of small Power Leeches attached to power infrastructure to accelerate the reveal. Targeting batteries and sockets where they attach is efficient.
- Once the
Giant Power Leech is exposed, concentrated ranged damage is the primary way to end the event; area-denial or crowd-control methods that do not remove the small leeches are ineffective.
- Because the Crystalline Vial has no effect on these creatures, do not rely on that tool to neutralize the event.
Additional notes:
- The
Giant Power Leech is noted in the compendium to possibly share a parasite with
IS-0139.
- The compendium lists the creature’s origin as Anteverse 23, described as having a crystalline tendency among fauna, but this is likely a compendium error; some related entries indicate Anteverse 17 as the intended origin.
