Bouncevine Seed

Bouncevine Seed is the collectible seed dropped by Bouncevine when it is uprooted. It can be planted again to grow a new Bouncevine, making it possible to move the plant to a different location or keep it around for repeated use. As with other defensive flora seeds, the seed may also be found with research-related items at the roots when the plant is dug up.

Bouncevine itself is a green plant with red branches that naturally grows on the surface of Sylva, especially in mountainous areas. It launches any player who steps on it high into the air, which can be useful for reaching elevated terrain but is also dangerous because the resulting fall can be lethal. Because of this, Bouncevine Seed is most often encountered as part of clearing or harvesting hostile flora rather than as a crafted or traded item.

Practical uses and notes:

• Uproot Bouncevine with the Terrain Tool to obtain the seed.
• Replant the seed to regrow Bouncevine.
• Bouncevine can be used as a natural launch point, but its height can easily cause fall damage.
• Since it appears mainly in mountainous terrain on Sylva, players should be careful when traversing that biome, especially near edges and cliffs.

The seed is part of the broader group of flora seeds that can be recovered from dangerous plants. In general, hostile flora may drop research samples when destroyed, while some defensive plants can also yield seeds that let players plant them again.
