Glowsticks

Glowsticks are a simple light-producing item used to create quick, easy sources of illumination early in the game. They are especially useful when a player needs temporary lighting without setting up a more permanent power-based solution, and can be carried and deployed as needed while exploring dark areas.

They can be placed directly from the Backpack’s widget slot using the context keys, or by setting the bundle on the ground and pulling one out before moving and dragging it into position. Once placed, a Glowstick lasts for 15 minutes and then begins blinking rapidly before disappearing.

• Best used as an early-game or emergency light source.
• Convenient for short trips, cave scouting, and temporary work areas.
• Their limited lifespan makes them less suitable for long-term base lighting.
• The rapid blinking at the end of their duration signals that they are about to vanish.
