Large Storage

Large Storage is a Tier-3 storage module used to greatly expand the carrying capacity of vehicles and platforms. It is larger than Medium Storage and is designed to hold multiple smaller modules or loose items at once, making it a common utility piece for power, resources, and equipment management.

A Large Storage has four Tier-2 attachment slots. Its inventories are merged, so attached modules behave as though they are part of one shared storage space. This is especially useful for automation and platform setups, since a crafting module can interact with several mounted storages as if they were a single container.

Large Storage can hold up to 4 Medium items on its attachment points. When combined with Medium Storage, it can hold up to 32 Small items, and when combined with a Medium Storage Silo, it can hold up to 96 Small items. It is also compatible with multiple Tier-2 items, allowing it to act as a compact expansion hub for tools and support modules. Medium batteries mounted on a Large Storage charge and discharge as though they were mounted directly on a platform, and active power items such as the RTG supply power to the platform the storage is mounted on. A Medium Soil Canister mounted on it will fill and empty normally while a Paver or Drill is in use, even if those tools are on separately connected rovers.

Large Storage can be installed on Medium Rovers, Large Rovers, and Large Shuttles. It is crafted using the Medium Printer.

• Items such as the Solid-Fuel Thruster and lights can be swapped while stored by using the Use key on the item.
• Because the attached inventories are unified, Large Storage is especially effective for organizing multiple batteries, resource canisters, and other Tier-2 modules in one accessible cluster.
• It does not accept Medium or larger items in its small-item storage spaces; those must use the attachment slots or another compatible storage setup.
