Leveling Block

The Leveling Block is a terrain-shaping item used to create uniformly flat surfaces aligned to the planet’s voxel grid. It is primarily used when building areas that need to be truly flat, since it produces terrain without ridges or bumps and is one of the simplest ways to make a clean construction pad.

The item is available from the research catalog in Creative Mode. To use it, place the block on a surface and press the use key on PC; the block pops upward and creates a flat cube of terrain beneath it. If you hold the right mouse button over the block, you can continue pressing the use key without having to move your character, which makes it easier to extend a flat area across a wider section.
