Trailer

Trailer is a cheap, early-game rover module used to build small train-like vehicle chains. It can be attached to a Tractor and is often used at the start of the game because of its low byte and crafting cost. A Trailer can also be chained with up to two others, for a maximum of three connected trailers.

Unlike the Medium Rover and Large Rover, the Trailer has no power slots of its own. That means it depends on external power sources to move when used in a trailer train, such as Solar Panels or an RTG, along with a Rover Seat to drive it. Without power-generating modules, longer trips become impractical.

A single disconnected Trailer still has an important utility: it can provide an infinite oxygen source for the player as long as it remains available as a tether point.

• Best used early in the game as a low-cost exploration setup.
• Can be connected in a train of up to 3 trailers.
• Requires a Tractor and external power to function as a mobile vehicle chain.
• Does not have power slots, so power planning is necessary for longer expeditions.
• A lone detached Trailer can continue to supply oxygen indefinitely.
