In-game, a cup of espresso is consumed by a Duplicant to relieve stress and provide a small moment of relaxation after a long shift, serving as a comfort beverage rather than a primary food source.

The machine functions as a comfort-oriented utility: it is intended to improve duplicant morale through a brief, consumable treat. Place the espresso machine where duplicants can access it during breaks or near recreation areas to maximize use. Because the espresso shot is a short-term morale aid, it complements other stress-reduction systems (rest, recreation, decor) rather than replacing them.
