A device that sprays medicinal powder on passing Ratizens. Not incredibly powerful, but still provides a feeling of improved health.

Overview

Restoration Gate is a utility building that periodically emits a restorative buff for one nearby Ratizen at a time. It is best treated as a support structure rather than a high-traffic landmark: when placed in a busy area, its effect can be wasted on the wrong Ratizen, and the intended recipients may miss the buff entirely.

Because it only activates after a short cooldown, the gate can fire about 4 to 5 times per in-game hour. Each activation affects only one Ratizen, so its placement matters more than raw coverage. It works well near places where Ratizens naturally pass through, such as food storage areas, and it can also be placed along routes used by Arena combatants, Hunter's Hut workers, or soldiers moving through the colony.

For best results, place it where a steady but not overcrowded stream of Ratizens will pass. If it is installed in an excessively crowded location, the buff may be consumed by a Ratizen who does not need it, leaving the one you actually wanted to support without any benefit. Spreading out multiple Restoration Gates can improve coverage, and this becomes especially useful when Electricity is plentiful.

  • Place it on a common route rather than in a tight choke point.
  • It is effective near food storage and other frequent travel areas.
  • It can also support Ratizens heading to the Arena, Hunter's Hut, or military posts.
  • Since each use targets only one Ratizen, multiple gates are better than relying on a single one in crowded colonies.
  • Building several is a good option if Electricity production can sustain them.
