Mixed Cane

Mixed Cane is tied to the Community Center’s remixed bundle system. When starting a new game, the player can choose to remix the Community Center bundles, replacing some of the standard bundle sets with alternate ones. In a remixed file, a room may contain a mix of permanent bundles and random bundles. Permanent bundles always appear, although their item requirements can differ slightly from the standard version, while random bundles may appear or be absent entirely.

The remixed system can also present more item choices than the number of available slots. In those cases, the player only needs to provide enough of the shown items to complete the bundle; not every listed option must be used. This makes some remixed bundles more flexible than their standard counterparts and can open several different ways to finish the same room.

The major Community Center rooms still follow their usual progression and rewards when completed:

• Completing all Crafts Room bundles repairs the bridge east of The Mines and unlocks the Quarry.
• Completing all Pantry bundles restores the Greenhouse, allowing crops and fruit trees to grow year-round.
• Completing all Fish Tank bundles removes the Glittering Boulder to the left of The Mines entrance, and Willy rewards the player with a Copper Pan for collecting metal ores and other items from water.

Because remixed bundles can vary, progression through the Community Center may feel different from one save file to another. Some bundle sets may be present in one game and absent in another, and some bundle slots may be filled from a list of alternate options rather than a fixed item requirement.
