Phoenix Ring

The Phoenix Ring is a ring found in rare chests inside the Volcano Dungeon. It is a defensive accessory designed to prevent a fatal defeat in dangerous areas, making it especially useful when exploring the volcano and other high-risk content late in the game.

While wearing a Phoenix Ring, if the player’s health reaches 0, the normal pass-out is replaced by a revival at half of maximum health. This effect can trigger only once per day, so it serves as a single emergency safeguard rather than a constant source of protection. The amount of health restored on revival is based on the player’s maximum health, with an additional point added for each Phoenix Ring equipped: Max Health × 0.5 + Number of Phoenix Rings equipped. Because the bonus stacks with multiple copies, equipping more than one ring slightly increases the amount of health returned, although the revival itself still occurs only once per day.

The ring is most valuable to players who spend extended time in the Volcano Dungeon or who want a safety net while fighting powerful enemies. Since it activates only after health is fully depleted, it does not reduce incoming damage or prevent knockback; instead, it gives the player a second chance after a lethal hit. This can be the difference between surviving a difficult run and losing progress after a risky encounter.

The Phoenix Ring can also be used in dyeing, where it serves as a yellow dye item at the dye pots in Emily’s and Haley’s house at 2 Willow Lane.
