Petrified Slime

Petrified Slime is a mineral that can be found in Geodes and Omni Geodes, and it can also appear inside Slime Balls produced in a Slime Hutch. Despite being a mineral, it has several specific uses and is otherwise not part of most progression systems.

It is not used in any bundles or recipes. However, it does have a tailoring use: placing it in the spool of the Sewing Machine produces the Slime Shirt. It can also be used as a green dye at the dye pots in Emily's and Haley's house at 2 Willow Lane.

One Petrified Slime is requested in a Fish Pond quest from Slimejack, which increases the pond’s capacity from 7 to 10. Because of that, it is worth keeping at least one copy if you are raising Slimejack and want to expand the pond as soon as the quest appears.

A few practical notes:

• It can be obtained from multiple geode sources, so it is relatively easy to stockpile over time.
• Slime Hutch owners have an additional way to get it through Slime Balls.
• Since it is not used in bundles or cooking, extra copies are usually best saved for tailoring, dyeing, or the Fish Pond quest.
