Slimejack

Overview
The Slimejack is a fish that can be caught in the Mutant Bug Lair during any season. It is one of the fish tied to a special, hazardous fishing location rather than a regular pond or river spot, and it is most notable for the dangers around its habitat rather than for any complicated availability requirements.
Fishing for a Slimejack can be difficult because Mutant Flies in the Mutant Bug Lair will continuously spawn and attack the player while fishing. A practical way to avoid this is to fish right at the entrance before any bugs are triggered. It can also help to equip a trinket that remains active during the fishing minigame, since the lair’s constant enemy pressure makes uninterrupted fishing harder than usual.
Slimejack also has several useful uses beyond being sold or donated elsewhere:
- It can be placed in a
Fish Pond, where it reproduces every 3 days.
- The pond starts with a capacity of 1 fish and can be expanded to 10 by completing four quests.
- When the pond population reaches 3, the water turns green.
- Its main pond output is green Slimejack Roe.
- Starting at population 3,
Green Algae can also be produced.
- Starting at population 9, the pond can produce several more valuable items.
The Fish Pond quest chain for Slimejack is straightforward and grants 35 Fishing XP for each completed quest. The required items are 20 Slimes to increase capacity from 1 to 3, 10

The pond’s daily production changes with population. At lower populations, Slimejack Roe is the primary result, with a high chance of nothing else being produced. As the population grows, the pond becomes more productive and can yield Green Algae and, at high population, additional slime-related items and Green Slime Eggs. The pond also grants Fishing XP for each produced item, with
Slimejack can also be used in tailoring: it can be placed in the spool of the
