Green Algae

Green Algae is a fish pond quest item and a dyeing ingredient used in several crafting and tailoring applications. It can appear as a random request on the Help Wanted board outside Stone’s General Store in any season, and fulfilling the request awards money and 150 Friendship points. In Fish Pond quests, Bullhead, Carp, or Largemouth Bass may ask for 2–3 Green Algae to raise the pond’s capacity from 3 to 5.

Green Algae also has a role in the Sewing Machine and the dye pots. When used in the spool of the Sewing Machine, it creates the dyeable Collared Shirt. At the dye pots in Emily’s and Haley’s house at 2 Willow Lane, it serves as a green dye ingredient.

Because Green Algae is tied to both quests and cosmetic crafting, it is worth saving some instead of discarding it immediately. A few practical points:

• Keep a stack on hand if you want to complete Help Wanted requests quickly.
• Save extra Green Algae for Fish Pond progression, since certain fish can request it to expand capacity.
• Use it at the Sewing Machine if you want a dyeable Collared Shirt.
• Use it at the dye pots when you need a green dye source.

It is not a rare item, but its value comes from flexibility: it can help with friendship and income through quests, unlock Fish Pond growth, and support fashion and dye customization.
