Granite

Granite is a mineral that can be found in Geodes and Omni Geodes. It is one of the basic minerals that can be donated to the Museum, shipped, gifted, or otherwise kept after cracking geodes, but it has very few direct crafting uses.

Although its item description suggests it may have broader utility, granite is not used in any recipes. Its main gameplay uses are more limited:

• One Granite may be requested in a Spook Fish Fish Pond quest, which increases the pond’s capacity from 5 to 7.
• Granite can be used in the Sewing Machine as a gray dye when placed in the dye slot with a dyeable clothing item.
• The Sewing Machine can also use Granite with Cloth in the feed slot to create an outfit item, though the available source material does not specify the exact result.

Because granite is mainly obtained from geodes rather than purchased or crafted, it is usually treated as a byproduct mineral unless a pond quest or dye recipe needs it.
