Pine Cone

Pine Cone is a foraging item used in a few crafting, tailoring, and quest-related systems. It is especially notable as a dye item and as a request item in Fish Pond quests.

In the Sewing Machine, a Pine Cone can be placed in the spool to create a clothing item, and it can also be used as an orange dye at the dye pots in Emily and Haley’s house at 2 Willow Lane. Because of that, it is one of the basic natural items worth keeping even if it is not needed immediately for other goals.

Pine Cones also appear in Fish Pond requests, where several fish may ask for 3 Pine Cones. Keeping a small stack on hand can make these quests easier to complete without having to gather them on demand. Once unlocked, the Raccoon’s wife near the Giant Stump will trade for Pine Cones as part of her shop inventory and request progression.
