Stardrop

A mysterious fruit that empowers those who eat it. The flavor is like a dream... a powerful personal experience, yet difficult to describe to others.
Overview
A Stardrop is a special item that permanently increases the player’s maximum energy by 34 points. It is consumed immediately upon obtaining it and cannot be stored in inventory for later use. When eaten, it restores all current energy and raises maximum energy at the same time, but it does not restore health.
There are seven Stardrops available in a single save file, bringing the player’s maximum energy to 508 in total and nearly doubling the starting amount of 270. Collecting all seven is required for Perfection, and finding every Stardrop also unlocks the Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox achievement Mystery Of The Stardrops.
One Stardrop can be obtained from each of these sources:
- Purchased at the Stardew Valley Fair.
- Found in the treasure chest on floor 100 of the Mines.
- Given by the player’s spouse or roommate when friendship reaches 12.5 hearts.
- Sold by
Krobus in the Sewers.
- Received from Old Master Cannoli in the Secret Woods after giving him a
Sweet Gem Berry.
- Sent by
Willy in the mail the day after earning the Master Angler Achievement.
- Granted as the reward for donating all 95 museum items.
The Stardrop also has a special message when consumed, and the text references the player’s Favorite Thing from character creation. Depending on the save, one of two messages appears: one says the taste reminds the player of their Favorite Thing, and the other says their mind is filled with thoughts of it. If the Favorite Thing is set to ConcernedApe, or contains Stardew, special alternate text can appear.
Before update 1.3.27, Stardrops could be taken into inventory and then placed in a
Trivia:
- Stardrops were called Cosmic Fruit in early versions of the game.
- Willy mentions a Stardrop during his Feast of the Winter Star story, where he connects it to the Winter Star visible from Stardew Valley.
- After achieving Perfection, a stone carving of a Stardrop appears above
Grandpa’s Shrine.
- The Stardrop was later added to Terraria with ConcernedApe’s permission in October 2022.
