Summer Squash Seeds

Summer Squash Seeds are a type of seed that can be planted to grow Summer Squashes when mature. They are a seasonal item with a limited natural availability window: most acquisition methods only produce them between Spring 24 and Summer 20, though trading at the Raccoon Wife's Shop and using the Seed Maker are not restricted by that window.

They cannot be bought from any traditional store. Instead, they are obtained through a variety of other means, including digging up Seed Spots, completing Raccoon requests, winning them as the first prize from the Prize Machine in the Mayor's Manor, opening Mystery Boxes or Golden Mystery Boxes, catching Golden Fishing Treasure Chests, breaking crates and barrels in the Mines, Skull Cavern, or Volcano Dungeon, and slaying Iridium Golems. They can also be traded for at the Raccoon Wife's Shop for 15 of the relevant currency, or produced with the Seed Maker.

In tailoring, Summer Squash Seeds are not used at all. They do, however, have dyeing uses: they can be placed in the dye pots at Emily's and Haley's house, 2 Willow Lane, where they function as an orange dye. They can also be used as a brown dye when fed into the Sewing Machine's spool alongside a dyeable clothing item.
