Starmap Location Sensor

Overview

Starmap Location Sensor is a rocket automation building that emits a signal when a spacecraft reaches a specified location on the starmap. It is used to detect where a rocket is in space and turn that position into an automation output, letting the player trigger other systems when the craft arrives at a destination.

Because it responds to a rocket being at a particular place, it is useful for route-based automation and destination control. It can be wired into other automation devices to start, stop, or sequence systems once the rocket reaches the target location. In practice, this makes it a convenient way to coordinate space travel without manual monitoring.

  • It signals when the spacecraft is at a certain location on the starmap.
  • It is tied to rocket travel and destination arrival, not to general colony movement.
  • It is best used when a build needs to react automatically to a rocket reaching a waypoint or destination.
  • Since it only provides a location-based signal, it works as part of a larger automation setup rather than as a standalone control device.
