Overview

This Duplicant has the Vomiter trait. They are liable to puke everywhere when Stressed. The behavior is triggered by the Duplicant reaching a Stressed state and causes them to vomit indiscriminately in their immediate surroundings.

The trait is strictly a stress-linked disposition: vomiting occurs as a direct reaction to stress rather than to specific foods, tasks, or environmental factors named here. The vomit event is behavioral and tied to the condition described as Stressed in the game’s stress system.

  • Vomiting occurs when the Duplicant is Stressed and does not require a separate trigger beyond that stress state.
  • The trait increases the chance that a Duplicant will vomit rather than perform other stress reactions.
  • The presence of this trait makes stress management for that Duplicant more important to avoid repeated vomit events.

Practical notes for colony management: prioritize measures that keep the Duplicant’s stress lower than the Stressed threshold to prevent vomiting episodes. Assign tasks and living conditions that reduce stress triggers and monitor their stress levels more closely than for Duplicants without the trait. If possible, place them in lower-stress roles or more comfortable environments to minimize occurrences.

Use routine maintenance and cleanliness plans to deal with the consequences when vomiting does occur. Because the trait causes vomiting to happen anywhere the Duplicant becomes Stressed, expect additional cleaning and potential disruptions in affected areas, and plan colony layout and staffing to limit exposure of critical systems to repeated incidents.
