Glow Ring

The Glow Ring is a ring that emits light in a radius of 10 tiles around the player, making it useful for exploring dark areas without relying on torches or other light sources. It can be found in a variety of places: by breaking boxes and barrels, as a special monster drop on floors 40+ of The Mines and floors 1–39 of the Skull Cavern, in Fishing Treasure Chests at Fishing skill 2 or higher if Luck is buffed, as a possible reward from the floor 20 chest in the Mines when remixed mine rewards are enabled, and as one of the possible gifts received at the Feast of the Winter Star.

The Glow Ring can also be used in dyeing, where it serves as a yellow dye at the dye pots in Emily's and Haley's house. Its light effect stacks with another Glow Ring, the Small Glow Ring, the Glowstone Ring, or the Iridium Band, so wearing multiple light-emitting rings can significantly increase visibility underground.

• All flooring types are available from the Catalogue, but that does not apply to the Glow Ring; it remains a standard ring item with multiple acquisition methods.
• Because its light radius is fixed and stacks with other light sources, it is especially practical early in the game and in long mining runs where visibility matters more than combat bonuses.
• If you are specifically trying to obtain one, the Mines, Skull Cavern, Fishing Treasure Chests, and Winter Star gift pool all provide chances, so it can be acquired through exploration, fishing, or seasonal events.
